What is a military click?

A military clique typically refers to a small group of military officers or individuals who hold significant power and influence within a military organization. These cliques often work together to further their own interests, maintain control over the military, and influence government policies.

Military cliques can have both positive and negative impacts on a military organization and the country as a whole. On the positive side, a well-functioning military clique can provide strong leadership, promote discipline and unity within the military, and make decisions more efficiently. However, a corrupt or power-hungry military clique can lead to cronyism, nepotism, abuse of power, and even coups d'état.

In some cases, military cliques can serve as a stabilizing force in countries with weak or unstable governments, providing a sense of security and order. However, when military cliques become too powerful or dominant, they can undermine the democratic process and lead to authoritarian rule.

It is important for military and government leaders to be vigilant and monitor the activities of military cliques to ensure that they are operating within the bounds of the law and respecting the principles of civilian control over the military.
